Shelke (not a question, this is just REALLY bothering me)

She's meant to be emotionless, too, right? Shelke the Transparent or something like that. I doubt she really liked Vincent at all. Still, people are always going to be coming up with obscure pairings. I've seen a lot of Weiss/Genesis and a Denzel/Marlene thing. And I suppose the same could be said for Vincent, he's much older than he looks, so I guess it makes the entire prospect of the two of them even being interested in one another slightly disturbing.

Well, technically, it does sound kind of wrong when a guy with the mind of a 60 year old and the body of a 27 year old dates (etc...) a girl with the mind of a 19 year old and the body of a 10 year old. That's sexual assault/harrassment! When will people realize the perversion of their fanfictions?

there are no pairings. I don't ever recall once in the whole FFVII series seeing a relationship between any of those characters. You're talking about fan fiction here.

Not that it really matters, but Yuffie was 16 in FF VII which would make her 19 in Dirge of Cerberus. As far as I know, Shelke is also nineteen, she just doesn't look it.

if this is talking about the game then it is ludicrous. If it talking about fan fiction aside from the games, you people should find another site. That's not what imdb.com is about.
Anyway, if you pay attention here's the facts.

First, Shelke really is 19 but has had zero normal development as a human being during those ten years. She has been forced to become emotionally detached from everyone and has witness atrocities. So she has been desensitized without maturing. In some ways, she's 19, but in most ways she's 10, mentally and physically.

Second, Vincent's really like 62 years old now, his age was stopped at, I think, age 29, some 33 years ago by the twisted experimentation performed on his body by Hojo. He is nowhere close in age to Shelke.

Third, Vincent takes an interest in helping Shelke deal with the humanity that has suddenly been thrust upon her after a decade of unemotional existence and android-like obedience to Shinra. He helps her confront tough ideas that would be learned easily by most people. He helps her out as a sort of protege and makes sure she understands that she's needed as does Reeve. Vincent lost the love of his life, Lucrecia and can never get her back, but remains haunted by her in many ways, one of which is through Shelke's ability to reproduce Lucrecia's memories. However, this does not appear to cause Vincent to have any romantic or sexual feelings for Shelke in any way. He treated Shelke no differently after he started seeing Lucrecia through Shelke's holographic visions, so it's definitely a non-issue.

Fourth, Shelke is the one that seems to have a crush on Vincent, not the other way around. First male presence in her adolescent life that wasn't evil, is tall, dark, brooding and handsome, compassionate, somewhat fatherlike at few and far between moments, and while set apart from humanity, has the humanity within him that she is so desparately searching for. Vincent is a guide and friend to Shelke, however Shelke does seem to have some feelings for him, which is not surprising at all.

Fifth, not every emotional moment has to be sexual. Period. I would suggest seeking help if you can not perceive any emotional moment between two people as something non-sexual. There's more to life than that. Love has many different meanings and often it has nothing to do with sex at all.

True, but also, Shelke had Lucrecia's memories uploaded as well. He is just experiencing memories with Shelke because she has Lucrecia's memories. Nuff said.

I agree with you on that one. But Lucrecia isn't completly dead, she is stuck between the life stream in the cave. Anything is possible on that part.
