Terrible trailer but good movie

Yet another example of a good movie being hurt by a lame trailer. Had I known this was written in part by John Cleese, I'd have seen it in the theater.

No doubt. Trailers so often stink. I recently looked up the trailer for Young Frankenstein to share with a younger person and found it completely unappealing.

I fully agree.
For some reason DreamWorks can make really great and stunning films, but their marketing always almost ruins them. Main reason why I did not have the pleasure of seeing "How to Train Your Dragon" or "Rise of the Guardians" in theaters, the trailers didn't make them appealing so I passed them up.
So glad I realized their movies are really good while this one was playing. Would have kicked myself again for missing out on another of their nice ones.
