I'm a twenty-one year old male, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I slightly teared up when Grug was throwing his family over that crevice in the ground. Especially when Eep and him had a "last moment". Anyone else?
I'm a 42 year old guy and I put on my sunglasses as soon as I left the theater (I saw a 2D showing the first time; saw it again in 3D tonight) because I had been tearing up during that scene and the mourning scene.
Well, I'm a middle aged man with two teens, and when Grug was "riding the sun" and returned, and Eep jumped on him exclaiming "I Love You Tooo!!" I just lost it...
Don't use ashamed with what you're saying. I'm a twenty-three years old male and I teared in this part and the other part when he started to draw his family on the walls of the cave.
I wasn't putting it past Dreamworks to kill off Grug, that's why I was so sad. The part when Eep says "No, I have to much to say to you..", right before they're about to say their final goodbyes, still gives me chills. My eight year old sister wasn't phased by the gravity of the moment, but I sure as hell was.
I am a 36 year old father of 3 and found it very moving. My eyes reared for only a second. I totally agree with the comment about Dreamworks killing him off. Seemed like a possibility.
i almost cried at a lot of parts, i almost had a heart attack cause i kept thinking grug was gonna end up dying. but the part that really got me was when they were all blowing on their seashells for grug
