this film is not for Children

dont let your children watch this crap..... it'll make them think that in the past earth had flying turtles and flying piranha birds.......

basing a fun film on facts would not have hurt

how do you know past earth didn't have flying turtles and piranha birds?

"...Hey, at least now we know when the next train was due"

reply

I'm not a christian, but I'm putting you on ignore because I fücking hate people like you, who take every opportunity to promote hate and stir up dumb debates. The OP had nothing to do with religion, yet a stupid antitheist had to find a way to mock others for having different beliefs than him. I'm sure other intolerant dumbasses will try to reply to me, but I won't even pay attention to such *a*holes. And don't even try to use the "you are the one being intolerant" card. A denouncement of intolerance and mockery is not intolerance in itself.

reply

(Not that you'll see this, but...) Actually, I'm not an anti-theist. I do not hate theists, as you suggest. Most of my friends and family are theists. However, there is no evidence that the biblical flood happened, outside of what is written in the bible.

I'm not a theist either, but I agree with Tales, you sound like a troll trying to insult theist for no reason (and in unrelated threads).

At the edge of our hope, we have chosen to believe in each other

reply

Don't worry about these overly sensitive morons with a persecution complex, Mitaka. I know what you meant, and it was a valid comparison.

reply

What did he say?

reply

What do you mean? There are over 300 cultures that all state the world began with a giant flood. Even scientists are saying that there were several giant floods throughout history. Whether you are a Christian or not, science and word of mouth both say there was a flood.

reply

Giant floods, yes. They do happen. A flood the wiped out the entire world? No evidence, whatsoever.

"The moment a person finds his voice is the moment his life takes on grace."
Story

reply

Not entire world, yes. Still, you have virtually every culture in the world stating that a giant flood occurred... that's some evidence on its own.

reply

That's evidence that they lived in areas that experienced at least occasional flooding, nothing more. Given that, for any society to succeed, you need a supply of water, the fact that flood myths are abundant is hardly surprising.

You must be a foremost member of the ADL...

reply

Who's the ingenious "intolerant" one, here??? Seriously, simply writing your last sentence does NOT make it true, ya bumbling hypocrite!!!

reply

It wouldn't have hurt, but it is just a movie.....
That's like saying "don't let your children watch any movie that isn't real. Including documentaries that were doctored up a little to make them seem appealing, no?

reply

I feel sorry for the OP's kids. they must've had a very boring childhood.

No santa claus, no christmas cartoons where snowmen come to life. no movies where animals or cars talk. No movies that contain magic or fantasy. lol

reply

Time to go back to the cave for you. :D

reply

My kids aren't morons. They enjoyed it because it's funny. Besides, I don't think it's supposed to be historically accurate. You were OK with the little blue elephant rats & the land whale?

reply

sure most of the animals are BS or pre human and the days long continental drift is silly but its a cartoon and not an historical documentary.

I thought the silly animals were fun and added to the movie.

All you need to say to the kids it its fantasy and the animals in cave men times where more or less what we have now, job done.

reply

You know, when I was little know matter how many times I watched Wizard of Oz I still knew monkeys couldn't fvcking fly.

reply

Contrary to popular belief kids are capable of distinguishing between reality and fantasy. Ever notice how kids ask a lot of questions? That is because they don't just take everything at face value and they do, in fact, question the things they see and hear.

reply

Not if they grow up with parents who can't distinguish between the two. Most our knowledge comes from those who raise us, not the outside world -- unless the outside world raises us. When we grow older we begin to question things but if it conflicts with those who raised us, usually people dismiss the answers to those questions. That's how ignorance stays in control.
