YESS!!!!!!!

i guess this made it. he hhas been talking about this for a while. it failed last year at UPN because of awkward writing rules and 911 stuff. but he tried again this year.
i cant wait for it, i wonder if its still going to be on UPN.

reply

i hope not i think he could make it on one of the bigger networks, ive heard him talk about it b4 too, do u kno the general premiss?

reply

After Retaliation became such a smash hit, I'd be really disappointed if Cooked aired on a POS station like UPN.

Does anyone know anything about this show besides the fact that it's called Cooked and it's Dane's show?

reply

All I know is that his character/him has a pet monkey.

reply

I really wish they'd put this on Comedy Central, then it could be as gritty as his shows.

reply

It really does need to be on a quality network like Hbo, or Comedy central would be ok. They are(upn & C.C.) owned by Viacom, so that could be a posibility...

reply

I would think that this show would air on Comedy Central considering his albums are released through Comedy Central Records. So I believe he wouldn't have a problem getting this show/movie (whatever it is) aired with them. I just want to know WHEN IS IT GOING TO AIR????

My understanding is that he signed a deal with HBO for this, the comedy special in Boston, and a new online downloadable show.

reply

he recorded this last weekend in boston. go to his website or myspace page

reply

i read that it is going to be on NBC.

reply

Cooked wont be on NBC anytime soon if that's true. Fall lineup is already released...no "Cooked".

reply

the hbo show he has is different...it is a show following the Tourgasm Tour

reply

the show is still being written. it could premier on NBC in the spring.

reply

Once again I will say this. He signed a deal with HBO for exclusive content. This, the Tourgasm reality show, his one hour stand-up he filmed in Boston, and his online comedy segments will all be on HBO. if you don't believe me go to his site and read the articles about the deal in Variety.

reply

saw a preview for it on HBO...so there we go.

reply

The show never aired, but both pilots have been released on DVD. I bought it on amazon.com, still waiting for it to show up.

reply

I'm trying not to give too much away when explaining the Lost Pilots, but if you want to find out for yourself, then don't continue to read this.....

My friend gave me the Lost Pilots DVD for Christmas. I finally got around to watching it. There are two different episodes on the DVD. The first one is where Dane loses an acting job, gets dumped by his girlfriend and ends up moving in with his brother and sister-in-law. There are some funny moments, but I didn't like the sister-in-law character. If they toned her character down and didnt make her a complete bitch, then I would have enjoyed it more.

In the second episode, Dane has his own place, and his two friends always come over to hang out with him. Dane wants to get a fighting monkey and has to trade an electric chair to get one. This episode was a lot more enjoyable than the first. It's much more believeable than the first one.

Expect the classic Dane Cook jokes (like the fighting monkey). There were a few references to cashews, Nestle Quick and "by a round of applause how do you feel?".
