Amazing Makeup/Special FX (Spoilers?)

I have to say, one of the things I was most impressed with in this movie (and yes, I know this is a very small thing) is the body makeup on Elizabeth when Essex bursts into her room during Ep. 2 (She's sitting on a chair partially naked with 2 ladies-in-waiting). It must have taken hours to apply everything. I was also impressed with how authentic the female characters looked, with their hair (or lack thereof), wigs and makeup. It was a real eye-opener for me.
