Disapointing
I'm a fan of Nick Frost's work, especially spaced, shaun of the dead and Hot fuzz and was expecting to like this as well but i really found it awful and unwatchable. :(

I'm a fan too, its most of the reason why I bought the DVD (I live in Norway, so don't have BBC). Still, I found the series disappointing for the first season and a half. The last 3 episodes of the second season were where it picked up a bit for me.
I think the main reason was that the comedy wasn't played straight. Everyone seemed to be a comedian and was gurning for the camera. It was only after a season and a half that they seemed to settle down and just act instead of trying to be the funniest person there.
As an acting coach told me once, things are funnier when they're not trying to be. Try too hard and no-one will empathise.
Just my opinion. I would watch season 3, if it continued like the end of season 2, but if it was more of season 1, I would avoid it.
