I think Britains Next Top Model is racist

I think Britains next top model is racist. I've noticed that it's always a white girl that is likely to win. They may have a black model or a model of another ethnic group who has brilliant pictures and just about makes it 2nd or 3rd to the final. Ethnic models are only good enough to make it 3rd or 2nd place. They may be the best, even better than the white models, even have the best compliments. Still they always seem to eliminated. It's the way things go, just the white models to be top. I think it's so racist and selective.

Maybe that does happen, but in this season, ethnicity had nothing to do with it, jasmia was a crap model . And if jasmia was white, she'd still be crap.

You can't honestly say that any of the ethnic girls in either series one or two were good enough to win. It has nothing to do with race or ethnics!! It is all to do with talent and the pictures they took, and the way they were able to model.

It's people like you who start arguments about religions for absolutely no reason.

It aint racist if it were then they wudnt allow mixture of girls to come onto the show! im sure in the nxt few seasons there will b different ethnic girls winning

Well you could say that about all the other 'Next Top Model's' that are out there. The first two winners of America's and Australia's were both white and we are only up to our second cycle. I'm 'predicting' a black or 'ethnic' model to win next year, and trust me on this....didn't I 'let slip' a few months back that Abi wasn't going to win?!?!?!

There's only been two seasons so far! I don't see how people can come out with stuff like this...just because a white person won doesn't mean the show's racist!

What a crazy thing to say.The only reason you've given is the fact a coloured person hasn't won the show before.Seeing as there could be a million other reasons the coloured contestants got voted out that doesn't really prove anything.You're basically saying the fact that the winners so far haven't happened to be coloured means the show is guilty of rasicm.Your claim is totally baseless and I think you're being a bit too paranoid.

dude, there has only been two seasons, so how do you know white girls always win? i only watched the second season, but both had black models in it. and i live in america, and Americas next top model has had winners from all ethnicities... ITS TYRA BANKS SHOW FOR GOD SAKES! and again there have only been two seasons so how could you know?

exactly. call me back after 8 seasons or so and then I'll judge. Maybe if its only been white girls then I might suspect a bias, but after 2 seasons its too damn early to tell. America's version had 2 white girls win the first 2 seasons. At least Edwina got the runner up.

jemster, you're probably right but why even bring it up here. you know how narrow minded people are on this site. racism is a thing of the past to people here. they are not at all living in the real world. they're in la la land where they think people are judged on effort and ability and not race.

I don't want to be rude, but it's only the third series, and we don't even know who's won yet. Just because the winners of series 1 and 2 were better than the other black models, doesn't make the show racist. And besides, it isn't about race, it's about modeling!

well i dont know i mean they got rid of Sherece and throughout the competition she had better photos than Stefanie and before that natalie, she won challenges and that was the first time shed had a bad photo really and it wasnt even that bad....

I agree with Jemster, this show is clearly racist its happened in four series now, i mean in todays episode there were alot of other girls with pictures that were 10 times worst than Musayeroh, and its such a shame that before lisa read out the name i knew it would be her going.

Her picture was one of the worst, but last weeks wasn't good. Just because they eliminate a black girl doesn't mean they're racist. This thread is really stupid. Any excuse to bring up racism...

yeh but its not just the fact that they eliminated a "Black Girl", ermmm why is it that out of 14 girls chosen there were only two that weren't white, surely dis doesn't represent britain 2day

Probably not. But the "Black Girls" that auditioned may not have been right for the show... I just think racist is a harsh word to use.

It's not racist at all- If it was it wouldnt allow girls to apply let alone get on the show if they arent white- just because all the winners so far have been white it doesnt mean every winner will be white just look at Americas Next Top model you had white winners, black winners,mixed heritage winners and Jaslene became the first full latina winner

For goodness sake GET over it and stop saying its racist because its not
