This show is like watchin paint dry...

It is so boring and dull...i think britian should
leave this show for America...only.

reply

I agree ANTM is sooo much better but this show reminds me of ANTM's first season which wasn't THAT great either.

reply

oh what,
is it because the British girls arent as slutty or horrible as their American counter parts

reply

Is it because the British girls arent as slutty or horrible as their American counter parts

Yes

reply

no, its just that, the american show is much more bitchy and slutty, i saw an episode last night and they were advertising and it was so cringe worthy to watch, just really cheap.

reply

we're watching a very watered down version.
Canada's version was a riot. actually, a lot funnier than America's. Sise was killer

I think some of the bore factor is the host's monotone. We're so used to Tyra's cuh-razy voice overs.

reply

I agree..

This was like talking to my sister's fish, no matter how hard you try, you know it's not going to get any better!

( Not that I talk to her fish.. )

That's it! I was wondering why it seemed differnent.

reply

I agree

reply

i never seen the canadian one...im glad im not the
only one that thinks this way about the britian top
model...lol

reply

oh my god...it was like a sleeping pill

reply

Yeah. For some reason all the American girls seems to have all these secrets in thier past and they have all this drama. Maybe English girls are just boring (I'm English so no offense or anything)

*Think of me when you dance*

reply

Britain chooses to say classier, now America's next top model is just about drama drama drama ratings drama. Unfortunately, classs isn't entertaining. I think America's next top model has really gone downhill, my favourite cycle were the ones with Janice as a judge in them.

reply

ANTM is really just about the crazy shoots and drama. I think BNTM shows a lot more about modelling than ANTM so is found to be better as it engages you with catfights and backstabbing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72wP_rFyarUMy new Michael Jackson video^^!

reply

I suppose but a LOT more boring. It was just...boring i didn't really like canadas one either though it kinda reminded me of BNTM. But i love ANTM its the best ever! I hope the new series of BNTM is somewhat watchable...jeez its like so embaressing to be in the country with the boring shows lol.

reply

Yeah, modelling with non-models

reply

"Britain chooses to stay classier." "My favourite cycles were the ones with Janice in them."
Sorry, those two comments in the same post just kinda made me laugh.

reply

if you dont like it, dont watch it.
i prefer bntm to the american version, the american version is ridiculous, its got nothing to do with modelling or fashion at all.
ever since cycle 3 or so.

reply

antm is more about the modelling, and doing challenges that have something to do with modelling. bntm is CLEARLY the bitchier one...i mean look at alex and catherine! thats ALLLL they did...and that was supposed to be entertaining?

OK I know this is from 2007 but Janice and class in the same 2 sentences is hysterical.

reply

i really like britains next top model. i do agree that antm is better than it, but i still do like it. but personally i thought cntm was awful, that was boring. the judging was a joke. im my opinion anyway.

BITCHFRESH

reply

I like BNTM better. ANTM is all about who's going behind whos back. On BNTM it really is all about the modeling aspect.

I think I have more trouble understanding it, though. The accents are odd to me.

I have seen 4 versions of NTM: Canada's, America's, Britain's and Australia's. The latter is BY FAR the best. Hosts are amazing, the girls so cute and funny, hey even had a LIVE finale for the 3rd season. It's hilarious, innovative and unlike the others (which I think the girls are great for reality tv, mainly) the models do have potential as such. I love it the best. I do Like Lisa, though. She is an amazing host. I will agree, that it isn;t the best version, though. I don't get the choice of girls, but then again it might be the taste of England. I just would like to say that the worst one, though, is Canada's. it is just grrrr... And so, so, so old fashion! Like the girls have to be a size -1! I think that part of the appeal of this show, and I do aplaud Tyra for trying to make this statement, is that beauty isn't standardized and that girls shouldn't be unhealthily skinny to make it.

reply

I was an AusNTM advocate as well until New Zealand's debuted a couple months ago. Aus is still much better than the others you mentioned but NZ tops even that. Watch it! As for BNTM, agreed. Almost every girl in every cycle so far has been average at best. I really don't understand the contestant choices. I know for a fact that model-worthy Brits exist, I just can't fathom how they never make it onto this show.

Guam is my constant.

reply

Well why watch it?
If it bores you so much why not watch something else?

reply

ANTM is the best, then Australia. I liked Canada's because of Sise, I thought she should have won, she was funny! I watched BNTM out of loyalty really, but I just didn't like any of the girls on BNTM, Louise was alright but that was cancelled out by Stephanie who annoyed the hell out of me!

Smeg!

reply

ANTM is the equivalent of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills whereas BNTM is like a pound shop in Clapham.

(No offense to anyone who lives in Clapham, just the first place that popped into my head).

I'm getting back into it this year for Cycle 5. The Military theme trailer drew me back in. As well as the fact i love Lisa on Strictly Come Dancing.

This season is promised to be bigger, bolder, better. - it better be. i thought episode 1 was very good. i sAW on the official website a tour of the house. it's beautiful and lots of colour & pink

i do love ANTM.But its a bit...showy. U know what i mean? The drama & bitchiness is great, but i've noticed the drama queens never win. They obviously know how to attract the editing dept attention though.

Anyway, i watch the show for the clothes & most of all the photography. I love to go & do a course in photography. The use of the themes, setting, colours, props, animals, etc.

In ANTM Cycle 11 i love the EYES photoshoot. And the black & white before & after photoshoot with Tyra.

I do like BNTM (especially season 2) but I prefer ANTM, even though I like the first few seasons waaaay more than the most recent few. I do appreciate Lisa Snowdon compared to turned-into-a-diva-and-acts-way-over-the-top Tyra Banks a lot more. But most of all I LOVE Australia's Next Top Model!! CNTM was boring in my opinion...

reply

It's true BTNM is crap and should be dropped IMHO. Where to start! It is just so TACKY compared to its American counterpart and no where near on par! Firstly, Lisa Snowdon: is NOT a top model, is too drippy - her attempt at being flamboyant in her gesticulations and pronunciation doesn't come off as natural - stop trying to emulate Tyra(!), is AWFUL when she tries to direct in photoshoots - she just ends up confusing the poor models! The stock of Brits they get for this show always seem to be inarticulate chavs, nevermind being bitchy. Their beauty, or lack thereof, on the whole, never ceases to amaze me. The tasks are completely rubbish - wtf was that last night, having to give PAINFUL and pointless presentations, and then the lame Jonny Vaugh radio interviews? The panel of judges is just dire compared to ANTM. Even the LIGHTING is crap on this show, which doesn't do these groups of wannabes any favours whatsoever! End of rant!

reply

I love Australia's next top model. Didn't cycle 3 produce the most successful contestant in top model history - Alice Burdeu is on the ones to watch and top ten new faces, booking major campaigns and walking on loads of runways?

I completely agree with IndieCaite.
I love America’s Next Top Model, It’s the original, completely unique and the judges are fantastic. The winners have been really good (Especially Witney Thompson) but the show seems to be more about them being complete bitches to each other.
I love Britain’s Next Top Model, mostly because I am British and so obviously I care more who wins that then who wins ANTM.
I watched Canada’s Next Top Model, but only the first series which was alright but not great. I would love to watch it with Mr Jay hosting because he is amazing (much better than Tyra on ANTM).
Without a doubt Australia’s Next Top Model – mostly series three – was the best! Alice Burdeu is definitely one to watch in the fashion industry. I couldn’t stand her at first because she looked so ill because of her weight but watching the show I realised that she was actually just naturally that skinny.
