Vital stats?
Does anybody know the vital stats of the Celtic Women? Ages, height, children???Some of us are just nosey...and trying to settle a little disagreement!

I got it from Youtube that Lisa is married and has 2 sons...Maev is married and just recently had her first child (boy or girl? Don't know). Orla is married, but don't know the children stats. The other ladies are very young and aren't married, or mothers yet.
As far as youtube says...Lisa just turned 30, Miread is 24, Hayley just turned 20, and Chloe is the baby at 18.
Anyone know more on the other ladies?

The birth year for Mairead is wrongly quoted. If you've ever read any of her work/school info, she was studying in college and finished in the year 1991, now there is no way she was 8 years old at the time, if you look at her birth year as being 1983.
This is the wikipedia link and her info - if you read that you'll see she had completed school and was in an orchestra in 1991, and she wasn't 8 years old either! LOL

After finishing her post-graduate studies, Nesbitt joined the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in 1991. She later moved into solo performances, working with a variety of performers, including Van Morrison, Clannad and Sharon Shannon. She also spent some time as fiddler for the Irish group Coolfin, and recorded an album with them.
Nesbitt got her break in 1996 when she was invited to perform in the Michael Flatley show Lord of the Dance. There, she played lead fiddle until 1998, at which time she went with Flatley to his second show, Feet of Flames. She toured in this production, again as lead fiddler, until leaving in 2001. I'll let you figure it out, but how old are most people completing post graduate studies in college? In at least their early to mid 20's? That would put her as having been born at least in 1971 if not earlier.
Child prodigy, perhaps? There is no way that Mairead is pushing 40. She has a young face, and a young body, or else she has the best darn plastic surgeon in the world!

No,it doesn't really matter in the end, but I was just asking reasonable questions...nothing THAT personnal. Just things people are interested in. Performers of all types realize that this is part of the occupation and I think they learn to deal with it.
And the plastic surgery thing...get a grip! That was actually a compliment. I was implying that she looks great for someone who may be pushing 40...
Wow, sounds like cherinadespas is a little over-possessive of Máiréad. You had no problem giving out marriage and child status of the rest of the women, but when it comes to Máiréad, everyone better back off? Which is it?

According to wikipedia, Mairead was 16 when she joined the RTE concert Orchestra in 1991 - so she would be about 34 this year. But according to IMDB, she was born in 1979 - that would make her 30 this year.
So..... early 30's! There ya go!

shareSeriously! I agree with you.... I'm a HUGE fan of Máiréad. Every time I watch her, I'm AMAZED with the amount of talent she has, as well as how beautiful she is.
When you're in the public eye, it's impossible to keep something like age a 'secret'. Especially today, with the internet. Age isn't a big deal, and I see no problem with someone asking. Some of us are just curious!
