In America?

This movie musn't be playing in the States cause there aren't many comments about the movie so probably no media about it in America.

I need to think of a really kick @$$ signature, any ideas?

The movie is made in Newfoundland (where I'm from) and historically speaking, Newfoundland hasn't been a place of movie fame. The movie is only showing in Canada for now, but if it gains enough support across the country, there may be talks to bring it to the American or international screens.

I'm from Newfoundland too and there have been a few movies filmed in Newfoundland, "The Shipping News" being the most recent i know of, before "Young Triffie". It doesn't suprise me that this film has a funny side to a murder mystery. Newfoundlanders seems to have a great sense of humor.
Lord knows, i've told my fair share of jokes. It just makes me think that the actors in the above mentioned movies, (Kevin Spacey in "The Shipping News" and Fred Ewanuick in "Young Triffie") seem to play characters of little wit.
We even get portrayed negatively in movies like, "The Perfect Storm" where actor George Cluney tells his co-worker that, "He's gonna drop him off with the Newfies". And whats wrong with that? I lived there and I didn't wanna leave.
I would certainly hate to let people think that all Newfoundlanders are of little wit. You know how Mainlanders are, take things way too serious. ;-)
But it would really be nice if there was a movie filmed in Newfoundland, (Random Passage, as a good example) that could portray Newfoundland in a more, or less, serious light (Depending on how you felt about the Random Passage series, i guess). I don't wanna sound trivial or picky about this film, after all i haven't seen anything only the trailer yet. But it seems to be that the lead character, The Ranger, looks like a comedy cross between Inspector Gadget and Keystone Capers. Just my opinion. I'm just kinda worried about how we as Newfoundlanders CAN be portrayed to the rest of the world, and maybe i'm just over-analyzing things. In a way, i wish they wouldn't film too many movies in Newfoundland anyways, i get way too home sick when i watch them, with the scenery especially.

I don't even think it made it to some of the larger Newfoundland and Labrador towns. I just picked up a copy of the video to watch last night. Not particularly impressed with it. I'd seen the play about 12 years ago and it works better on stage than on screen.
