Very good film considering budget restrictions

I thought this film was a very good film all things considered. In fact considering the legendary status of the Kokoda track in Australian military history im surprised there aren't, more films about this part of the war. In fact Australians were a very important part of the pacific war. Us Australians should be more involved and proud of our contribution to WWII, especially since our soldiers some of the best soldiers to fight in the conflict.

I thought the film too was extremely well produced and successfully told a really interesting story in spite of its budget limitations. It was very successful in Australia and I hope it ended up making some money for the producers.🐭

I don't know about budget restrictions but I do believe this film is quite underrated (6.2 as I type). In many ways this film was most masterfully produced and directed. I do wish as an American it delivered more WW2 historical context so I can appreciate the greater story as well but that is just me. To be honest I did not know what Kokoda Trail was prior to viewing.
