Well, I wouldn't go that far and, it's liek Brokeback mountain. Any movie is marketed to a different audience. Chronicles of Narnia and passion of the Christ : Fanatical Christians. Any movie with Heath Ledger, Brad Pitt, Jake Gylenhaal, Tad Hilgenbrinck, etc, is targted at gay men and desperate straight women. And, he's just beginning to come out of his shell, acting speaking. He's done classical theatre and that's more than most actors have or will ever do so, I respect him.

I personally thought he did a great job in this film. I have not seen American Pie Band Camp. I really liked him.
