Victorious Boxers 2: Fighting Spirit

Just letting u all "Hajime No Ippo" fans know that theres a PS2 boxing game based on this series. Its called "Victorious Boxers 2: Fighting Spirit". A friend of mine found this gem at EB Games store for only $10! Its a great boxing game with all 70+ characters from the anime and manga. The controls are a little weird at first, but once u spend some time playing the game, it'll pay off big. Story Mode is great too.

Yeah its pretty good for the cost, you can still get it on Amazon for $10, I wouldn't even bother with the first one, second is much better. Takamura is a freakin monster. You also get a lot more fights between the other characters. Kimura, Aoki, Miyata in the story modes.

My only gripe is that the story starts out incredibly deep, Oda's story is fleshed out in a long cutscene, but after that fight the story scenes are much more brief. Funny how you hear Oda's girlfriend say if he loses that she will break up with him, and then after Ippo beats him, you don't hear anything else.

Also it has the weirdest intro scene I have ever seen. Theres a scene before you even get to the title screen that has Mashiba talking with Fuji that takes place before his Ippo fight. There are no speech boxes or anything, they are just moving their lips while generic music plays.
