shareI am an avid runner and watched the documentary last night. I was thinking the same thing. He is lucky his support group didn't leave him out in a sandstorm ! However, the worst part was at the very end, when they were only a few kilometers from the Red Sea....Charlie could hardly walk and he told the other two to stop, have lunch and then catch up to him. When they stopped for an hour, he started RUNNING again and they have to really move to catch up with him. I thought that was horrible and was happy they caught up to him.
He is a jerk and I have no respect for him.......I don't care how far he ran. The other two guys are saints for having tolerated him for 111 days.

I think charlie was faking it he wanted the other two runners to rest so he could maybe get to the red sea by himself
