Would've Kicked Charlie's Ass !

Who the hell did he think he was telling other adults what they can and cannot do . Lucky I wasn't part of his crew .

I'm sorry, but the support crew were people with commitments. Neither of the 3 runners seemed to have "real" jobs. (Small business developer (with financial problems), Personal trainer, Grad student). They could take all the time they needed and if the schedule went over the 90-100 days, it wasn't going to hurt. But that didn't seem to be the case with the support crew.

They committed to the expedition for a certain period of time. When the runners went over that time, why were the others expected to put their lives and commitments on hold?

Charlie was frankly being unreasonable.

Exactly. Charlie was totally unreasonable with an incredibly inflated ego.

I agree. He kept saying crap about "anyone who doesn't want to be here needs to just GO" - but Don never said he didn't want to be there! He had made other commitments based on the length of time that had been agreed upon for the Sahara expedition - it was completely unfair of Charlie to accuse Don of "not wanting to be there". Don himself said the thought of having to leave them before they reached their goal made him sick. I can understand not wanting to lose a vital member of the team, but come on - it wasn't Don's fault they went way over schedule.

I have total sympathy for being upset over losing a vital member of the team; what I don't have sympathy for is Charlie assuming he can treat people like crap when he doesn't get what he wants.

What ESPECIALLY made me mad and was further evidence of Charlie's selfishness was when he told Ray and Kevin he couldn't run anymore, told them to rest for an hour while he WALKED on ahead, then he ended up running and making the other two run hard to catch him. I couldn't believe he actually said something like, "I wasn't competing with them, I just wanted to see how far I could go before they caught up with me." HUH?? That sounds like competing to me! I know Ray and Kevin were upset about it, and I sure hope they gave him hell for that. Charlie had made SUCH a big deal about convincing Kevin to stay, that they were a team, that they wanted to finish together, then he pulls THAT crap? Give me a break.
