Hector respected time travel??
A lot of people on the threads here saying how Hector was a hateful character etc....I liked how he kind of respected time travel and went along with things to make sure it all worked out ok??
sharei liked this too; that we was someone who had no scientific knowledge, yet immediately recognized that he had to do what he had to do to maintain the timestream.
Well, the engineer did tell him that he would cease to exist if he didn't allow the events to unfold as they did, so there was some motive.
shareI thought the main motive was jealousy of the previous Hectors. To paraphrase something I'm fairly sure the engineer told him, if Hector 1 didn't get in the time machine, his wife would still prefer him over Hector 2.
Also, it would be quite a relief to know that the man in the pink bandage had just been himself, and there wasn't someone still out there trying to kill him in the future.
