Explanation

I've seen a lot of confused people on this board and on others who are maybe not aware of the fact that this movie is part of a series of films/anime/radio-dramas/manga/etc. written by Oshii. It's called the Kerberos saga and it also includes The Red Spectacles, Stray Dogs, and some others. You people might want to watch those films before watching this. The characters presented here are special characters that are talked about in detail in his other films. If you haven't seen those then these characters will mean nothing to you and you get the "I'm confused comments" that populate this board. Does that explain things for anyone?
