High Fidelity!

This movie's a rip off of High Fidelity! Jeez. No one else noticed that?

High Fidelity was a bit over-rated anyway. My potential girlfriend wants me to check this one out. *Downloading*

Hmmm...I watched High Fidelity a while ago, but didn't notice many similarities. Yes, both movies are from the male point of view and gives their take on relationships; however, I think Pyar ke Side Effects had a good blend of bollywood/hollywood. If you liked High Fidelity then you should also watch The Last Kiss....good movie.

What about:
- the list-making;
- the similarity between the characters who play the common friend of the couple in both movies (Joan Cusack in High Fidelity and Suchitra Pillai-Malik in Pyaar Ke Side Effects);
- the protagonist's being a DJ...

You cannot really call that a co-incidence, right?

Well at least it looks like they were "inspired" by High Fidelity. "Rip-off" would be pushing it too far I guess. There. Rephrased. You get the point.

hey,
you know what, now that you mention it, Khakhee was a copy of The matrix... they both had guns in them...

I've only pointed out 3 similarities (that are not representative of the whole lot of them) between the two movies. I won't go into the technical details or details of personality traits of the characters (Hornby's book + the "original" movie v. Pyaar Ke Side Effects): it would only make me hate the "ripped-off" version even more (yeah, come to think of it, "rip-off" as I had called it earlier wasn't such a bad idea!)!

Oh and yeah: nice try, but there's a glitch in your attempt at sarcasm. One dimensional analogies (and I'm being generous!) don't prove much, do they?

And I'm not even imposing my opinion on you or anyone else that has watched both movies and read the book.

It's very different from 'High Fidelity'.

Thank god that someone notice, its a pure rip off from the movie High Fidelity. The basic plot with some changes that just make the movie more crapy. Bollywood, write your own damn stories or stop making movies!

I don't remember PKSE exactly, but I think this was more similar to the movie Alfie. Just that in Alfie Judd Law got caught cheating.
