This is not crap, but it is also far from good

My flatmate left partway through the movie and came back near the end to tell me that he admired my tenacity for getting all the way through it.

It wasn't terrible. Some of the cgi was good and so was the idea. A bigger budget might have allowed for better props and more extras though, which would have made the movie a lot better. It just looked shabby to have the same guy in the same makeup play the role of different zombies along the way.

The guns and equipment were often mismatched and kept switching between characters between scenes as well. Lastly, most movies showing military forces have the actors trained to behave like the military. It just makes them look like they weren't given a plastic gun and told to walk down a dark hallway pretending they were soldiers.

Not a 1/10. But not much more than a 3/10

A bigger budget?

Ah well........

or work effectively with what you have. Don't stretch it as far as they did in this film. It just looks bad.

How much do you think they needed to make it 'work'? What was the budget?

reply

I have no what the budget was. I assume it was small because there were numerous zombie extras that appeared many times; even in the same scene. The guns were quite mismatched and the characters did not sell the fact that they were supposed to be soldiers at all. I think if it was a bigger budget film, more could have been spent on these areas and the film would have been more believable as a result.

How can you tell the extras were re-used? They were all zombies. Don't zombies all look slightly similar?

reply

Honestly, did you even watch it? I didn't even need to pause it to see that they had a few guys they used more than just a few times.

Must not have been watching as closely as you........
