A bad movie and a bunch of unanswered questions

I have to say that this movie really puzzled me. Yes, it is the worst film ever...Well, ok, I won't go that far. Our memory is so short - There is 'The Wicker Man', There is 'Rent'...but anyway, this one is really really bad as well but I also think it raises some questions...such as: What happenned to Edward Furlong? All that potential and he ends up fat as a pig and bad actor as...let's say...Michael Madsen? Come on! Well, but there are other questions that are still floating: Did someone see this movie before it was released? I mean, did the director or the producer or the distributor or someone in the whole and complex chain of the movie release process actually took a look at it? And if someone did, how come this movie ended up in Cannes?????? Was it the name? No, it can't be just the name...can it? And what was that ridiculous attempt of impregnating the ending with all those unbelievably stupid twists. Were they trying to see just how bad the movie could get? And, last, I know it has been extensively discussed already but I have to mention again because along with Furlong's belly, this was the item that shocked me the most: What was that fake moustache doing on Michael Madsen face? Jeez, I will just go out and rent 'Showgirls'. A new bad movie experience is the only thing that makes you forget the previous one.

Cheers,

Artur

so... I just finished watching the movie.
I have to say... I agree with you. First of all, the acting was terrible. It was like a teenage horror movie which will please only kids. I mean what were thinking? The shooting was bad as well. There were scenes that the actors were passing in front of the camera such as the scene in David where the woman (cannot remember her name) was asking David what will happen between then he passes right in front of the camera.

I also have a question about the plot. At a scene near the ending, Lisa is lying on the floor and he pushes the stich in her and we actualy see her pure performance in screaming and moaning. Later, we see her running fast with no blood in her and actually she seems healthy. Is this a mistake or is he just imagining and I didn't get the whole picture?

If I could change the past, I wouldn't change a *beep* thing!

He just imagined it.

I know this is an older post but I'm just watching this for the first time and I gotta tell ya, I'm just as puzzled as you were. It is weird---Edward looks loony a la Tom Cruise, Michael looks like he crawled out from under a rock...as for the shocking physical condition of Ed, well I'm thinking that's where the actual "horror" comes in---& it sure is/was!
The fact this was anywhere near Cannes is just the icing on the cake as I sit here scratching my head wondering uh, Why?

Brag all you want! But don't get between Me & the BloodWine!!!:-V
