Why this movie is so bad

The problem with this film is that it was originally intended to be a serious film. The Exec, Charles Fries, was also the distributor, and he made the two casting choices; Furlong and Madsen. He had a deal with Madsen for a price, so he cashed it in. There was great opposition from the other exec producer (myself) and the director, but, as you can guess from his quality track record, Fries didn't care. Fries then had a rewrite done without myself and the writer's knowledge( who had developed and done every rewrite for the past 5 years developing the project), changing the script dramatically to the weak, confusing, watered down version of what it was. He took no notes from the director and myself and then, gave full rein to Insight Film, the Canadian producer. They do one thing, and that is crank out many small films. They also had been forced down into such a tight budget, without making any money, that they put great pressure on the director and production, and in 15 days, there is only so much you can do with a complex script. I blame myself for letting Fries negotiate and cheat the writer and myself out of active involvement, since, he does that with everyone, I should have known better. I really loved our original script.

Hey, Patrick. I'm Brian - I'm interested in genealogy, and we share a last name, so I wanted to touch base. I've found a lot of Peaches have interesting stories to tell.
