not tying to bash it but...

I liked the first episode, it reminded me alot of akira and set a good premise for a familar and yet interesting trope. I however I am not a big fan of harem anime and actually wonder what it is that people enjoy about it.please give me some answers to this question.

Elfen Lied wasnt bad, just not my cup of tea honestly. I did not care for the art direction as much either. I did enjoy claymore a great deal though so I am not a prude how doesn't enjoy bouncing boobies or nudity, I was just pretty put off by the silly conversations at times and how some of the female characters were presented.

so what is it that I might have missed? what is the appeal?

I am a big anime fan and my favorite shows are Legend Of The Galactic Heroes, Freedom, Berser,Ghost in the Shell, Parasyte, One Punch Man etc. I read alot more Mangas though.

I do like some older anime movies, basically anything with demons in it...even legend of the overfiend wasnt bad.

So why didnt it resonate with me?
