He destroyed his ancestry?

When Taj threw the urn and desecrated the ashes of the dead and everybody just laughed it spoiled the movie for me. To mess with pip is one thing, but he didn't even know the character of the dead nor did he have any right to just because they may be snobs, if that were true people would be ##### all over graves in the UK. If he didn't want to respect them then fine, but why that and why was everyone so cool with it, were they so brainwashed in that short period of time? The administrator was also find losing millions in funding just to make some dopes happy that were going to leave without probably saying hi to him again, at least pip showed him some respect.

1) screw the dead british aristocrat. as taj is a colonial indian, i would not be upset if his pissed on the queen herself. the monarchy deserves it for their rape of the colonies.

2) screw the dead. they don't care. the only person to offend by his act was pip.

pip was a racist, a sexist, a bully, a liar, a cheat, and a sexual fraud.

pip broke the most SERIOUS code there is in college....CHEATING. his theft of test and framing of students was not only an expellable offense, but by defrauding those students he should have been SUED by the cock and bulls as an organization and as individuals. they would then get his money. screw pip.

3) if a man is LITERALLY trying to cut me with a sword, and i throw his dead daddy's ashes at him, that is FAIR PLAY. the bastard pip should be arrested for felonous, aggravated assault.

4) pip said his dad gave millions. he also yelled "FATHER" at the ashes. daddy is DEAD. he ain't giving more money. And now that the provost *knows* pip is a cheater, if he accepted money from him it would be a scandal.

5) they were not dopes. they were accepted to a prestigious university and they had just passed a rigorous oral. and won the hastings cup. I bet they and the provost are good buddies from now on.

pip did not show him respect. pip kissed his shiny white hiney, which any smart person of authority finds more insulting than outright disrespect.

I agree that desecrating the dead is a terrible thing, BUT Taj was about to be seriously hurt by a REAL SWORD. Under the circumstances he must save his own skin - literally.

For Alfred Hitchcocks sake ITS A FILM!!!! Just a FILM

At the beginning of the movie, as soon as we see the urn sitting on a pillar unprotected, we know it's going to get smashed to pieces at some point. Is it disrespectful? Yes. But, this is a very shallow movie. So, what did you expect?

Don't lose sleep over it buddy
Then again at least you can dream a happy ending for the urn and the ashes

reply

Destroyed? Heck no.... just sweep that up and dustpan it back in with a funnel...

It's just a silly college movie......don't take it personally....

I don't know the regulations regarding the intentional destruction of urns when you are attacked with a sword by a relative of the Queen.

If you really want to look at it seriously, Taj was reinstated, and Pip expelled, based on a quick glance at a picture on a cell phone, and everyone was fine with that..

That was apparently the ashes of Pip's ancestor(s?) specifically, and early in the movie Pip mentions that his grandfather, or something, was previously governor of India, making it quite fine IMO for Taj to mess with it. Anyone descended from slaves "owned" by one of the US's early presidents has every right to spit or piss on their grave IMO.

This is far too serious for a movie of this type (direct to video-esque, B comedy at best). While we're at it, I'd like to voice disgust about what happened to that pie in American Pie, surely it never hurt anyone, and probably would've been quite delicious if it hadn't been ruined.
