YOU HAVE NOW PRODUCED 9 OUTSTANDINGLY HORRENDOUS FILMS: From Worst to "Not so Worst" (LMFAO!!): 1. Bottom's Up 2. Van Wilder 2 3. Material Girls 4. Phat Girlz 5. Larry the Cable Guy 6. Doogal 7. Turistas 8. Little Man 9. Zoom
The foreboding year for horrifically horrendous films has finally come upon us! The year of the devil's number (indicating the "6" in 2006) has brought 9 of the worst films! (which is pretty ominous because as we all know "9" is an upside down "6".
Kind of reminds me of another bad film this year! The Omen!
even more bad or disapointing 2006 movies: date movie - agree basic instinct 2 - agree big mommas house 2 - agree x-men 3 - don't agree, it had a pretty interesting ending to me. da vinci code - agree, but not completely terrible miami vice - agree mission impossible 3 -agree poseidon - agree eragon - agree superman returns - agree, but not "horrendously" bad like the topic indicates bloodrayne - agree annapolis - agree atl - agree And for all the rest I agree...
I think the reason that so many 2006 movies are in the Bottom 100 is because it is now the era to vote films "1" regardless of whether you've seen them or not. For instance: "This has Paris Hilton, i'll give it a 1". I'm not saying that it's not a bad film - I've never seen it. People these days care too much about the who's who of Hollywood, and try depseratly to ruin the lives of their "haters" ie. "All Lindsay Lohan fans, give the Hilary Duff's movies 1's!". I could be wrong though. But the world is getting much much more immature.
15. I should've read it years ago but I wasn't interested in Classics back then. I simply love them now. Wuthering Heights was my first and now i'm on Jane Eyre. Then I might read Madame Bovary, Anna Karenina, Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion. Although I am baffled to which order I should read them in.

Seriously, that is both odd and interesting due to the fact that I too, have been attracted by the classics only recently. I am 15 as well and am currently reading the Count of Monte Cristo. Just to give you some hints though... Wuthering Heights was a great novel; I've always loved the explicit foreboding style of Emily Bronte, Madam Bovary is prosaic. The whole book circulates around a woman's aspirations to seek love and respect, other than sitting at home all day and brooding for her husband. I read the book in the 8th grade and it really bored me. I likewise found Pride and Prejudice uninteresting, but perhaps the whole love-and break-up type theme does not appeal to me. I hope you enjoy Jane Eyre because I personally did. I have an email address on yahoo called Mr.Rochester75 :P.
Just thinkin: you just bash 2006 for releasing so many bad movies. yes, partly thats true, but I beg to differ: don't forget the 4 movies that got into 250 best movies of ALL TIME. Of course, much more movies got in the bottom 100, i don't defy that fact, but just think: there are a lot of sweet movies out there made in 2006. Don't be pessimistic. Widen your outlook. Now a lot of you here made a list of bad movies. Let me be the first one who will make a list of good movies made in 2006:
The Departed The Prestige Pan's Labyrinth Little Miss Sunshine
and don't forget Clerks 2 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Jet Li's Fearless Cars BORAT!!! Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
These are just a couple i can think of right now. Please, let me repeat myself don't be pessimistic.
I must be completely oblivious of the ingenuity of Clerks II. In my perception it was banal, not funny and slightly ignorant (remarking on comments about LoTR which were void of both humor and understanding). The film put more thought into profanity than into plot development but I guess that's what appeals to contemporary filmgoers.

And look in the past two years at the number of films which have reached the top 250 greatest films OF ALL TIME (as you seem to so highly advocate the importance..)
2005: 5 films reached the Top 250 IMDB list
2004: 9 films reached the Top 250 IMDB list
The top 250 is not only highly controversial and biased (not ALL votes are taken into consideration; only from avid users) but is also filled with crummy films which are highly inaccurate and perpetuate false ideas. The only reason they recieve high status is for their ability to play upon the sentimental sides of people i.e. Crash, which although delivers a very powerful message, does not convey it intellectually and strives more for indulgence than novely.(The idea has been used many times..)
Not to cast any dispersions that IMDB is completely wrong with their top list but their film rankings should not be alluded to with the most meticulous and direct consideration, because we must take voter's prejudice and fickle opinion into thought as well if you know what I mean.
I respect your want to differ, but 2006 has not produced the greatest of films and it has been the worst year of the millenium for the industry. No, I am not being pessimistic and yes, those films you mentioned do deserve credibility (well most of them) but you have to admit that 2006 has been the worst year for films in a while..
I'm not sure if you are schizophrenic or just delusional Raptor, but that post of yours really frightened me. In what way do your stipulations have any ties to the topic title or cinematic tastes of people? Your whole discussion of good and evil is hardly true, let alone valid in a topic that distinguishes the good and bad films of 2006. Yes, ratings and votes are subject to controversy and universal opinion (if thats what you meant through your highly obfuscated description of GOOD and EVIL); I neither negate nor deny that fact. I have merely noted 2006 as a typically horrendous year for the cinematic industry, whilst listing the several films (which are now being augmented by Crossover and a few others) that support that fact.
