Saw Interview 6/22- LOVED IT!

I went to see Interview yesterday at the LA Film Fest and thought it was a great movie. I enjoyed the constant change in mood of Katya, it made for an awesome dynamic. There were so many oneliners that you had to pay attention the entire time to make sure you did not miss something funny. It was very fast paced and fun, but sad for them at the same time. Both actors did an excellent job. I saw a lady afterwards and we were talking about how it would make a great play. maybe it has already been one. Who knows.

Overall I would say if you like movies where it is about what they say more than the action going on then you will absolutely love this movie. Pay attention to her cell phone ring, it says a lot about her not having attachments in her life!

The ending was priceless! I thought Steve did a great job as a director and a actor in the movie. He is so talented it makes it easy to watch.

That's not a "dynamic" that is just acting exercises every hour, turn off the camera and come back again in 50 minutes. There was no dynamic, because there was no coherence, because there was not plot, because there were no characters, ... this was a bad joke. Ugh, they hit me for $10.75 for this pile.

An annoying cell phone ring doth not a memorable literary character make my dear.

I agree. I couldn't help but have this sneaking suspicion that Steve Buscemi did the film so he could have sexual encounters with Sienna Miller. I walked out of Shopgirl for the same reason. Katya's "character" was completely unbelievable. They could have played up her femme fetale quality by making her a little more interesting/witty/enjoyable? She seemed like a basketcase and we're supposed to believe that an "intelligent" character like Pierre is drawn to her? And as if the father-daughter dynamic wasn't immediately obvious to the viewer, he has to go ahead and say, "You are my daughter and I am your father" Dear God the dialogue was bad.

It was a Lost in Translation for...I don't even know what audience. I actually don't know who this movie was meant for and who (if anyone) would enjoy it. I would advise anyone considering seeing this movie to save your ten dollars. The film was so uncomfortably bad, that I actually felt bad/embarassed for the actors at some points. It wasn't even Gigly/Glitter "I want to see this movie so I can laugh at how bad it is" bad. It was "I want to go home, take a shower, and forget that just happened to me" bad.

It would have been better if Katya resembled the real celebrities of the Perez Hilton persuasion. None of the actresses of the "OC" would spend that much time developing their characters. And if they did, they'd be stupid because they're so one dimensional no one would know the difference. A rehab/jail story would have been interesting and more realistic.

Well, I for one did. It's easy to say a film is bad...I'm really interested which 2007 film you did enjoy. Could you please answer that?
