Enjoyable movie - but I like 'em a little disturbing

It's a movie about liars, and that is an interesting premise to start with. I enjoyed that the movie was mostly talk and interplay between the characters. Yes, Katya's psycho behaviour was over the top, but she is a spoiled princess used to using that kind of drama to mess with people. I would have liked if the drug theme would have been treated a bit more seriously, but then it would have been a different movie where the Pierre character would not just be the patsy. It's very dark in that Katya, basically privileged because of her beauty, seems to have no standards beyond her own self indulgence. I suppose she is very young and naive about life, though not about game playing. Overall, the film is fairly nasty and bitter and I usually enjoy that sort of movie. It was also fairly funny.

Pierre is really screwing up as a journalist not to do his research, and then to never suspect that "diary" was something for her character. Even I guessed that, immediately. Who the heck puts "My feelings" on the desktop? Not someone who's going to say, "You can surf the web on my computer." Duh. She was smarter than him, though, only because she had the advantage of youth. Basically, they are very similar people, just different in age and gender. Both involved in glamour industries where they indulge a sense of drama and have ample opportunities for manipulation and lying.
