He happens to have grabbed the other tape too, which is a reveal of the two actresses or something else. Too much actorly POV here. Not really in sympathy with Lohan or Britwreck seeming smarter than the average reporter.

Would any reporter be dumb enough to tell all that? To give her that much power? Even on heroin she's that smart? Come on. Ans him not knowing her profile? Even people who don't watch LOST know who Sawyer and Kate are.

I would say a better ending would have been him turning in the story, hating himself, but doing it. And then she googles him, after the very end, as a reporter, he's no political reporter but an expert star dredger upper and never married, no daughter, never went to afghainistan or anything.

Then he takes the tape to his crazy messed up friend, who always had a crush on her, and they laugh.
