At the end of the movie when Pierre is about to leave, he tells Katya that he "has a confession to make" and she stops him, saying that she's tired and can't go on and grabs his stuff. What do you think he was about to tell her? Or am I missing something, and he really did end up telling her something?
shareI think he was going to confess to actually wanting her. He was denying attraction so adamantly earlier in the film , possibly he actually did have an affinity.....

He didnt want anything from her other than a scoop/exclusive for his editor. He couldnt wait to ring in with the cancer story as soon as he was out of the door. Everything else was fake. Do you really think he killed his wife? It was all a ploy.
