Was Pierre's confession real?
Because I think part of it is real. The one about exaggerating things. But at the same time, if his motive all along was to get something out of Katya, why would he even make a real confession>??

Yes there's some ambiguity there, why would he tell her about his wife' death, maybe the fraud part since his editor already knew but unless he was really out of character, I can't see him be so stupid
