anyone else feel bad for roque?

The guy really just wanted to get back home. He wasn't concerned with revenge, he just wanted to do anything possible to get back home. You can argue that Clay wasn't thinking clearly, he couldn't let go of being a soldier and avenging all the kids from the beginning.

reply

Selling Clay out to Max = revenge.

If Roque wanted to go home, Clay had told him twice he could leave any time he wanted.

if he just left max and them would still know that he was alive and they would hunt him down unless Clay and the others took him out, and he just didnt believe that they could i guess.

NO = *beep*

Rogue was a marked man alone. He couldn't "just walk".

reply

Rogue went rogue after all. Should have known it might happen.

I was hoping that it was just a ploy to get Roque close enough to Max that he could take him out. Partly because Idris Elba is a fantastic actor and I really wanted his character to stay as one of the good guys, kinda like Dolph Lundgren in the first Expendables. Was disappointed, but then again, a bit surprised as well. That doesn't happen too often in movies these days.

reply

I agree. Clay was the bad guy to me, not Roque. Clay just kept screwing over his team again and again. The fact that it turned out relatively well for his team didn't changed that.

reply

No, cuz Roque sold out the whole team, not just Clay. There were gonna get killed too.

By Grabthar's Hammer...what a savings.

reply

i was really mad that he didn't survive.

i've got feelings too, ya know - inbetweeners

but Roque didnt exactly have a life to go back to, he didnt have a family, he could have gone soldier of fortune if he really wanted instead of turning traitor
