That is so sick! Really sick! I think even if they had not gang raped Alice at the beginning the fact of what they did to Sophie was enough to make them suffer violent deaths.

If you believe Heffer's (the dad) account of the story, he diverted the other two men away from raping his daughter, by getting them into the gang rape of Alice (Gillian's character). His associates wanted to gang rape Sophie, but Heffer offered an alternative victim, so his daughter could get away from them, before they had a chance to start in with her. None of which made things better for Alice. Even though it wasn't actually shown, it is established from what Alice says later, that all 3 men raped her.
