There were a few parts that seemed to drag a little but there were also some genuinely scary scenes. There is something truly disturbing about a little kid who is a bloodthirsty psycho.

Agreed. A little too much CGI was used, more than I'd hoped. I dont know why some film makers over use cgi with horror films. But there WERE some scary scenes in this I will give them that.

It was hardly worth the time. I practically almost fell asleep halfway through the movie. It is implied the little kid was jealous over the attention her younger sis probably got from her mother...but cutting the wrist?? Come on, the Japanese version was far more brutal than that.
I give it a 1.5 out of 10...the biggest value of the movie i saw was the face of the little ghost girl. Good effort, but not a big scare.
i gave it 6 and i feel i may have underdone it. the imdb score is very misleading
