Here is part of an article previewing the Sedona International Film Festival. It appears in The Arizona Republic, the big newspaper there.

There's no truth to the rumor that the Sedona International Film Festival will change its name to the Manly Film Fest. But it could, especially this year. Festival executive director Pat Schweiss says a theme emerged as he scheduled movies for the five-day event, which starts Wednesday and runs through March 4.

Schweiss said that, although the focus wasn't intentional, a number of films tell "powerful stories about men coming to grips emotionally, strong stories of men and how they deal with very strange situations."

...Other movies featuring male characters who are transformed include...Off the Black, the tale of an aging alcoholic (Nick Nolte) who hires a young friend (Trevor Morgan) to pose as his son at a reunion.
