political comments in the movie

king julien made a comment on the first plane ride about democracy and the seperation on classes then when asked what he would do if he had two days to live that he would take over another country and impose his ideologies on them. I know who they are referencing W and I think it's tasteless. They are putting subliminal messages about politics in kids movies. Any thoughts???

The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.

I think you look into this waay too deep. If i knew i had 2 days left to live, heck, i would invade some country aswell.

Same, and I'd do it with an army of Athiest suicide bombers, dying for their Big Bang cause, just do mess things up.

"I'm not an idiot, Will. I know how much a penguin costs"
"Apples! I hate those guys!"

You're thinking about sociologist Max Weber (pronounced Ve-ber).

Why does it have to be about W and not the rest of the idiots who ruled countries and started wars just for the sake of it? it describes dozens of people. Includig your beloved W.

PS: I don't think it is a kid movie.

"That was a courtesy flush. I'm not actually done yet"

King Julien says (among other crazy stuff) that he would invade a neighbouring country. W never invaded a neighbouring country, so why are you so certain this is a stab at him?

reply

While on the subject of politics, I just wanted to say that the twin towers appearing in the ny skyline are not just there for the sake of authenticity / of establishing a proper timeline.
If that were the case, they would not be so prominent in the perfect center of the screen, the absolute focus of attention in that scene.

I don't know, Butchie, instead.

You'd have to be able to process the message first before it could be classed as "subliminal", and I don't think kids care that much about W. to be honest...

... Mind you, neither do I!
