D'Onofrio is no Orson Welles

As much as I'm sure he likes to that think he is, Vincent D'Onofrio is not in the same league as Welles. Not even close!

But he sure does a good impression of Orson Welles... have you even seen this performance?

i have to disagree. this is probably the best portrayal of mr. welles.

he captures the calm and the restlessness that was always so palpable, just under the surface.

his methods clearly display a knowledge and understanding of the character that i don't think anybody else has effectively translated.

I think he done a great job like Orson Welles, he look like him, but of course he's not him. He obviously knows it, but that's not the point, the point it is he made a wonderful character. He made the contra-plongée (cinema term) and everthing, very good.

the mannerisms, way of talking and emphasis is perfect, spot on , his acting was brilliant however he doesnt' have the voice, nowhere near the depth or the timbre, so when he tries to speak like Welles it sounds like someone doing an imitation. id much rather he just speak like a normal person, welles definitely was outlandish, overt in his speech and mannerisms (he loved the sound of his own voice clearly) but unless your voice is similar it wouldve been better to just act the role as opposed to actually sound like him

also the wooden british actress with him was terrible and really ruined what could have been magnificent

If you're having a conversation with us plebians, don't you think it'd be good form to translate 'contra-plongee' into lay terms, so that us unwashed masses could better understand your point?
Otherwise, you sound like a pretentious male member.
