I think the album of Sivaji rocks...though i ddnt like a few songs at first!
As in the case of previous rahman albums...ive grown to like it.
ATHIREDEE KAALAM song is too good...so is SIVAJI-THE BOSS(it strts with the sound of a coin being tossed)!!!

i was very disapointed at first but then after listening to it like 10 times i realised its one of the best songs arr ever composed!! especially athiradee kaalam song ...its just typical arr song tht sounds terrible in the first listening but then it just grows on to you and you'll find yourself singing it all the time.
i also liked balailaka song by S.P.B and shara and shahana. vaaji vaaji could have been better but i can understand that its just a perfect slow song for rajni. i was highly disapointed with the rap song because the lyrics is just awful..."vaila beeda potukada vaada vaada".. its just annoyed me, the lyrics just spoiled the whole song but im sure it will be very nice on the screen.
i have mixed feelings about oru koodai sunlight song but seeing rajni and shrya dance to it sure will rock the theatre
altogether they are perfect songs for Rajni! i would rate it 8.5/10

even I did not like some songs first (balailaka, Oru koodai sunlight), but after hearing them for 5 times, they are awesome.
ATHIRADEE is very very good, excellent beats.
i agree with u on VAADA VAADA.....but it will look very good with the movie and suits for Thalai.

I would say after a long time Rahman has given some songs that may stay in teh minds of fans for more than a year. This is the first ARR album after 2000 that I am repeatedly playing my car.
SPB's song is outright rocking. You don't need time to like it. Rest of the songs sounded much better after a few listening. Now I am hooked. Also the sound track did what it was supposed to do before the movie release. It increased the movie fever. I now can't wait to see Rajini on the screen dancing for these wonderful songs. Especially "Athiradi". It better be like James Bond sequence.
