Really did not like it. Though the film was ok.

Do you think it is because of the way it was filmed? I wasn't expecting that sense its such a new movie. Don't get wrong though it was a pretty good movie just not what I expected. Maybe it will grow on me. For the most part I like foreign films this one just did not do anything for me with the music and acting. It was ok but it did not feel like a real movie? Maybe it is just me?

Don't think so why ? What are so common or well known ones? I seen a good amount of foreign films but I don't believe any Filipino yet except for this one.

No it isn't. I wasn't bowled over by it either. The look of it was very low budget, almost home movie style, which I can deal with. The boy who played Maximo was good, and I loved some parts, such as the 'miss world' competition, but a lot of it was very cliched and uneven. I'm sure it's original by Philippino standards, but it's no classic.

I thought the music was one of the best parts about the film. Acoustic, almost bluegrass with it's slide guitar. I thought it was a well-suited accompaniment.
