i heard there is going to be a second movie are there any details

No and i wouldn't get you're hopes up because it probably isn't going to happen.

The second film has been finished and will debut in 2011.

is the 2nd film still on? I loved this movie, would really like to see another. usually wholesomeness is portrayed sanctimoniously, but here, it was clever! well done.

i'm still waiting on that sequel. i'd love to see one too. i haven't heard anything recent though.

A little off topic but does anyone know what happened to the TV series of Nancy Drew that was in the works within the past couple years?

I don't think the movie performed well enough theatrically to warrant a sequel. I'd like to see one, though. Maybe we'll get a reboot at some point.

They said they were moving forward with a sequel when this was released, but it was probably to get press in hopes the first one did well (which like you said, didn't do as well).
