i love this movie

i love this movie. i watched it last night and it's been in my head all day today. just thought i'd share this. doesn't hurt that i'm in enthralled with zooey deschanel and have been waiting for this movie to come out for 2 years. although it's such a simple movie i really enjoyed it. i'm sad it wasn't able to find a wide release in theaters, i think a lot of people would enjoy this film.

I agree, great movies don't always necessarily have to be complicated. It reminded me of 'Into The Wild' a little bit, and 'Down in The Valley' and other road trip movies of course.

Some people have it out for this kind of indie flicks, half-philosophing dialogs, indierock playing in the background, beautiful images passing constantly. I usually enjoy them and in the genre, this one stands out imo.

Yes! I agree. I went in with no expectations (maybe that's some peoples' problems) and came away feeling like I'd seen a real gem of an independent film.

yeah I agree, i watched it because of the cast but didn;t have any idea what the story was gonna be about or where it would take me- it's a really lovely film with a lot of elements, the whole thing was made with joy for the medium.

I love this movie too. And I agree with Panterken. Great road movie, beautiful cinematography, and amazing cast and M. Ward music for soundtrack. What more can you ask for.

Half-philosophising dialogues, indierock playing in the background, beautiful images passing constantly.

That's a beautiful way of describing indie movies, and exactly why I love them.

I only do it with superheroes.

Too bad independent movies don't get appreciated as much these days. This movie definitely would've gotten a wide art house release had it been made in the 90's.

I'm a huge fan of Zooey too, and would probably never have seen this movie if it wasn't for her. Really glad I did, though. It's such a great movie. One of my favorites. Too bad it's so underrated...
