Awful awful awful ladder matches

Who knows if anybody will read this since the game is so old...but I recently picked up a used copy of the game and I'm experiencing it for the first time. There's a lot of good stuff in the game but the ladder matches are TERRIBLE.

You can spend 10 minutes beating your opponent until he's lifeless. If you use the ladder as a weapon and you're a fan favorite it actually drains your momentum meter. Why? Why would using the ladder in a LADDER MATCH make your momentum go down? Then you climb the ladder and it's about half an inch too far to the left so your wrestler just stands on top of it grabbing at air instead of just adjusting himself and grabbing in the direction of the belt. So you decide since you're on the ladder you might as well hit an awesome aerial move from the top. Only problem is your wrestler somehow overshoots his opponent by about thirty feet and lands on the outside.

So now your opponent has taken a ludicrous amount of punishment...you've only been hit once or twice but you botched a move. And...your opponent quickly climbs the ladder - grabs the belt - and becomes champion (or retains the belt) while your wrestler is taking a nap on the arena floor.

I can't believe people get payed to test games for a living and they don't point out crap like this.

Eh...not expecting any responses I just have to rant about how *beep* certain elements of this game are. It's considered one of the best wrestling games ever from what I've heard and I just can't believe how short it falls in a lot of categories.
