Wow. Good movie. Who would have thought?

Finally saw this over the weekend and enjoyed it. Once you ignore the lousy CGI (as usual) and the clueless military officers the film is very creepy and well made. The acting is pretty decent as well. Much better than the usual Sci-Fi (aka SyFy) crap. Reminds me a lot of the very cool Blob remake from the 80s.

One thing though, I feel it needed more graphic depictions of how the organism killed people. I never got the sense that the thing was that dangerous even though people were dying.

BTW, if you want to see it uncut, I just learned that the DVD is entitled "Organizm". If I had known that I would have rented it long ago because I've been wanting to watch this film since I missed it on Sci-Fi in 2008. I have no idea why they changed the title.

Also, am I the only one who thinks the scene with Schaech smearing blood on a topless Leerhsen was hotter than most sex scenes out there? Then again, maybe that says something about me. LOL.
