Rocky should've won

No way that guy could've beaten rock

Well, I think it's at least implied that the computer simulation was correct. A retired, aged Rocky was able to go the distance with the heavyweight champion and lose only on points. So Rocky in his prime would almost certainly have mopped the floor with Dixon.

But Stallone also suggests that Dixon injuring his hand is the main reason for the fight becoming competitive. But I agree that it also suggests that the computer fight result was right in that Rocky would've whupped Dixon in his prime.

1985 balboa.. yep dixon would not get very far especially considering he couldn't even KO a 2005 rocky.

Agreed...and we watched the alternate ending where Rocky wins...I don't think it has quite the same impact. Him losing BUT going the distance given his age and the supposed" farce" of him even being in the ring with the current Heavyweight Champion was MORE then enough.

The alternate ending imo just looks stupid each time I watch it. I mean I'm glad they filmed it and I like how they did it (Dixon's not a jerk he's straight up about it,) but really like the first one Rock didn't need a win he just wanted to make his soul feel better and wanted some vindication. Besides how Dixon acted is kinda phoney no way a real fighter woulda been that classy getting embarrassed lol.

I liked the ending as it was. Rocky gets the last punch in every way, he walks off like it doesn't matter pissing Dixon off and just completely outshining him, and his final hand raising gives me chills every time. Rocky's perfect ending imo.

One main aspect I hate being left out is that old workhorse MotherF$%^kers are seasoned and tough, he might not go the distance but would still have really hard hits.

As far as I'm concerned, Rocky did win the fight.

Notice who got in the last punch...

I liked it the way it went down, Rocky just wanted to prove he had one last fight in him and that he wasn’t a joke. On top of that Mason Dixon regained his respect and didn’t lose to a guy twice his age.

Rocky was also in better shape in his 60s than Dixon, who's much younger, which is ironic.
