Something that bothered me

I just watched this film last night and something that bothered me is that they never mentioned the babies or the smaller children. In the part where you an hear parts of the news, the reporter mentions that babis were being born comatose and that they were going to put a ban on giving birth. But wasn't that just before the children woke up? So what happened to all the babies, 1, 2 3 4 5, etc year olds. They were never mentioned or shown. Also in the "army of kids in the town, isn't odd that that there were only a few pre teens and 8 and 9 year olds. Most of them were older teenagers like 15 and above.

Something that bothers me is when they go to the police station for more guns, they end up leaving wth no guns at all. And they had the chance to grab a few just a second before they left the bulding, but didn't, stupid *beep* Waste of time and of lives as well.

And here is alamo joe again!! 142 my arse!

They clearly had no budget to work with. We kept hoping for a shot of a creeeping zombie baby, as in IT LIVES! But it never came.

uhm yeah that would be poor continuity control not bad writing . . . but okay . . .

This movie is so poorly written, and filled with so many glaring plot holes that if you tried to catalogue them all you'd fill an encyclopedia.

The reason they left the police station without any of the weapons was because they didn't need any. Tom knew what to do to 'beat' the children, and that didn't involve killing them.

He just had to not be a slave to his fear.

I like this movie even more after reading all these threads - I feel smarter after reading all these stupid statements.

okay, but, please, tell me something: is tom dead by the end of the movie when his ex-wife is sleeping on the porch? are all the kids dead or alive again? the ending is soooo stupid and unclarifying.
thanks a lot!

Why did they call it "Clive Barker's The Plague"? Did Clive Barker write it?
I didn't see his name on the writing credits. Is it based on a book of Clive
Barkers? I'd love to read that book.

He's in the credits as executive producer. That's it. He didn't write or direct it - his main job was having his name in the title to sucker poor trusting people into watching it.

I wondered about this at first as well, but then I realized there probably weren't very many kids born after the kids all went comatose. Not only would it be incredibly depressing to have coma babies, but a newscast in the movie talked about the UN's decision to ban childbirth and how intentionally trying to get pregnant could result in jail time in 36 different states. So even though there probably were some two year olds out there, they'd be an extremely small segment of the population.

That being said, there really should have been more kids in the ten to fifteen year old range running around.

In the director's cut - which I've seen, the beginning states that all children under - what was it - nine - were affected. Then later mention is made of the fact that some people continued having childen, even though they were all born affected.

Read about the "real" version here.

Actually, they were shown. For example, the scene where the preacher is killed, it was done by a boy who looked about five who then absorbed his soul. So, all the children awoke, even the "1, 2 3 4 5, etc year olds" who all became zombies.

would you keep having babies if they were always born in comas?
