Interesting Interpretations...Y es, there is a plot

I did not think the movie was bad at all. The acting was good and it did tell a story. When I read some of the comments, one of the things people said was that there was not plot to follow, but I believe there was, it was just left up to the audience to figure it out. I like Clive Barker and through the years I have noticed that he does not always want to come out and give it all away. He likes audiences to figure it out. There have been many interpretations from *beep* and I found it interesting and then by Smerk3 that I also found interesting. I felt it was symbolic in nature using many metaphors and ancient beliefs, many which have different names for an apocolyptic vision, which I think some it may have been described.

My interpretation was the good old "good versus evil." Apocolypse means to end and begin again. There were so-called Holy references but many other belief systems have some sort of legend of what occurred in this movie. The children falling into the comas and the babies being born comotose and the ban on child births could have (and I am just saying could have) been done by both the light and the dark, or in Christanity, God and Satan. I say this because the ultimate decision of the future of the world would be that of an adult forced upon by the kids just like in the movie.

The number 10 is interesting. In numberology, you would take the number 10 such as 1+0=1. The number one is symbolic of new beginnings, which I found interesting. The kids were controlled by both entities to see which would prevail, good or evil and good prevailed because Tom sacrificed himself and freed the world from "slavery" of believing that they can buy their way into heaven in a very insincere way instead of by faith alone and doing good and nice things are genuine and from the heart.

The only part that disturbed me was when Brian killed David. David always took care of his son and believed and had faith that he would wake up. I really felt bad that David had to die because he loved his son.

Nice interpretation, but it leaves many questions unanswered. Especially it does not explaing the ending.

Where did you learn your Greek and Numerology from? Apocolypse comes from the Greek meaning "Uncovering" or "Revelation"

In numerology 1= holy, unified, diety, God, or Ox
8= new beginnings
10= perfection or hand

other then that nice job!

Interesting, so 8 = new beginnings. Maybe that's why everyone starting from the age of 8 and lower fell into a coma.
