Versus the Killer Whale

I just saw a post on this board that appears to have been deleted (older thread?) related to dealing with the killer whale which you confront after breaking out of your 'cell' in the aquarium. Apparently you're supposed to kill the orca in a minute or less, but that seems like a tall order. Do you have to have a certain number of moves available to you before you can kill it, or do you just have to keep trying to hit him again and again? The trailer shows a sequence that appears to be in the orca's pool, where the shark lifts the orca clear of the water & then tears it in half. Another website suggested chewing relentlessly on the orca's tail. Anyone tried this? Suggestions would be appreciated.

Okay... you have two stories going on here, actually.

I) When you particpiate in the BOSS FIGHT against the Orca, you do not have a time limit. The sequence in which the shark tears it in half is just a video played after you win.

II) Killing it in under a minute is "Orca Revenge", a side mission you can play if you go back to the level. The way to beat it, that I did anyway, is by charging your ram/dash/speed swim button, and chasing it until you are VERY close, but not close enough that it will turn around and attack you. Let the button go and when you ram it, the whale will be stunned on its back. Bite the side of it, and you will inflict MASSIVE damage (this is also how you rip it apart and tkae pieces off, which you can use to refill life if you need it). Hope this helps!
