i think you may have missed the point. i dont think they were blaming the boyscouts. i think they were holding the larger ruling social order of the day responsible; the overarching social and economical ruling class that were the only ones with the power to truly ensure and protect equality and just didnt. which in their lives at that time happened to include that particular la boy scout troupe. thatd be like saying holocaust surviors blamed a certain group of guards at one internment camp for all the antisemitism in germany during the early half of the 20th century and the atrocities committed during the holocaust. or maybe youd just sum it up as "once a dirty jew, always a dirty jew"?
