I never post anything on IMDB about movies...but I had to stop and say something here. Perhaps I can save someone else from making the same mistake I did.

OK...you guys have got to be kidding me. Why are there so many people on here talking about how great this movie is? Are you guys on drugs? Or did the makers of this film pay a bunch of people to put fake posts on here to trick people into wasting their time and money on this movie?

Where I live we have machines at the grocery store where you can rent movies for a dollar a day. I saw this movie in there and thought it sounded horrible. But after reading some of these posts I decided to give it a shot. Wow, did I make a mistake.

I knew it was gonna be bad when I watched the previews for the other movies done by Maverick Entertainment. They all looked like absolute garbage. So I'm thinking "How does a company that puts out nothing but turds end up doing a good movie? This is gonna suck." Yup. This movie absolutely SUCKS.

One of the reviews claims this movie has "clever dialogue." Are you joking? Yeah, maybe if you compare it to quality dramas such as Melrose Place or Gilmore Girls. The acting was terrible and the story line was so overplayed, boring and idiotic that I wanted to cry. I felt absolutely nothing for the characters except pity that they subjected themselves to this type of public embarrassment.

And, I kinda hate to take a cheap shot, but another post talks specifically about how "hot" the lead actress is. Man, STOP IT! Are you serious? I mean really. When Aaron is talking to Michelle and comparing her to the girl in She's All That I wanted to get up and hit someone. No, the girl in She's All That was hot. This girl is NOT. Not at all. Not slightly. Just...stop it. Seriously. Stop it.

The way these posts read, I'm really leaning toward thinking these posts are put up by fake people. And I'm sure all these "movie experts" are gonna jump all over me, but I don't care. Everyone has an opinion and if these posts are actually put up by real people then these are people who's opinions are completely opposite of mine and, therefore, people who's opinions are completely null to me. I just can't bring myself to believe that people liked this movie enough to create all these posts. If these are fake posts...you guys should be ashamed of yourself. Someone owes me a dollar. Plus tax.

I didn't know that only critics and awards determined the merit of a film, but as for bad reviews, since you seem to think the opinions of strangers are the only ones that matter:

That's just the surface that I've found so far.

The film is a JOKE. It looks shot on a camcorder, the acting is so bad it's BAD, and where exactly are these awards that you speak of, seeing as how your only other obvious criteria for judging a film is the number of awards it wins (I guess Crash really WAS better than Good Night and Good Luck, right? ).

Thank you for posting those links. I read a rave review for this movie on horroryearbook.com and thought about checking it out but after seeing the posts on here I am steering clear!

I completely agree. This movie was utter garbage, from both an acting and a production level. The dialog sounded like it came from a bad play -- much of it had no music or sound effects to accompany it, drawing attention to it as very amateur. The movie could have been better if it parodied itself, or turned "Hostel" with vast nudity and more gore. The actress was not attractive most of the movie; her complexion was truly horrible. The worst dialog of all came from her mother. Please. And the fat "good" girl, Wendy, was annoying. Bottom line, the movie had no nudity, very little gore, and horrible acting. No redeeming value whatsoever.

this movie isn't great but it doesn't suck either. It's say it's about as good as you can expect from such low budget. granted, acting is a bit wooden, idea is interesting but story development is rushed, there are moments where you go "yeah right" even considering this is cheap slasher flick. But overall it's interesting. With larger budget this could be great movie but it's good nonetheless.

I'm sorry, but since when does nudity make a movie good? Because unless you're talking about porn.... nudity really isn't a huge selling factor.

i didn't think the lead actress was hot either, she was kind've attractive, not hot. the movie sucked, i don't make many posts either on this site but this movie really pist me off. i was expecting something completely different and wow was i dissapointed.

For a low budget horror film, I was pleased. I don't think it was a waste of money. The acting was good all around, except for the lead's mother. I cringed every time she was on the screen.
I do agree that the lead wasn't that attractive, so it was hard to believe that all these good-looking guys wanted to bang her.
Overall, though, I recommend this.

I agree with the OP. This was the worst movie I have ever rented...EVER. After the first couple minutes I thought it was a parody or something because the acting was that horrible. WORST ACTING I've ever seen. Don't waste your time with this one.

the movie was actually well for being a low budget indie flick. sure, some of the sound effects and visual effects were off, but what do you expect? it won seven different awards, so i doubt that anyone cares about what you think about the film.

So...b/c it won "seven awards" (though there is only one listed on its page, hmm...) no one else's opinion matters. Does EVERY movie that wins "7 awards" automatically mean it's incredible or something ?

I so agree. Even I can appreciate a trashy movie once in a while, and I rented it not expecting much. But this was horrible! No redeeming qualities at all! Bad script, bad acting, bad plot (with holes big enough to drive a truck through) --- horrible horrible horrible! Watch it if you must, but be prepared to throw away a couple hours of your life for nothing.

This is the worst movie i ever tried to watch(i said it cuz it's true). I stopped it like 5 mins in, i guess i had high hopes due to the awards it got... but this movie is trash!

This movie made me sick, not the content, but the execution. Its really bad, I actually got angry watching it just from a technical standpoint. All the technical problems have nothing to do with the budget though, they are just lazy mistakes. I hate watching movies where you can see lazyness. If they just tried a little harder something good could have come of this. Could have been better if someone with a little more knowledge about editing took a crack at it too. Sorry guys.

I have to agree with the above post 100%.
I too, have never written a post about a movie but I just have to say this ranks way up there with the worst I have seen in 50 years - and I have seen a lot.
Please save your money and don't give any of these actors a chance to appear in anything else for a long time!

WoW, you all are way too critical of a B movie. Of course its going to be poor. Its a B movie, very low budget. Its not supposed to be very good. At least they did something. Think of the effort it takes to generate a story, write it out, make a screenplay, fund production and find people to act in it. Then you have all the editing to do which is a production of itself. Kudos to the cast and writers for even following through on the idea to make it. It was a descent watch, for a B movie. You people really should watch more low budget B movies to see comparisons. Yeha they're chessy, but thats the point. Give them a break.

Go out and see John Carpenter's Halloween, The Evil Dead, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, and the original Last House on the Left; all "B-movies", all better that this *beep*
