i bought the us version of Army of the Dead it mentions at the back of the dvd special features, visual effects demo,documentaries,behind the scenes, but theres no special features, are there 2 different versions of the movie.......
sharedo yourself a favor and chuck this movie in the trash and don't look back. Check out other movies that have special features like Peter Jackson's King Kong or Polar Express, Iron Man for more sophisticated cg.
In Army of the Dead, they created one single skeleton on a program called Maya. I admit that the model of the skeleton was well done with a good skin and increased Bit map to create that cracked and dry texture on the bone... Then after keyframing parts of the skeleton (such as the knees, wrists, neck, jaw, etc...) they hooked up a program called Stop Motion to an actor so that when he moves, the CG skeleton moves. They capture the motion with nothing more or less complicated than 'save' on every program. It's no big deal. To make an army of skeletons, they did nothing more than copy/ paste. Have fun and explore.
