Fictionalized???

Lots of gripes on here about inaccuracies ... same old same old "this engine was wrong for that kind of plane' kinda stuff. That to me is minutia ... what I want to know about is the real overall story. I understand that the producers had to add some soap to the story ... that is OK by me ... but what about the story ... the history ... the politics?

It is a fascinating story and when you consider Ferry Command moved over 25,000 planes to Europe and 500 gave their lives in the effort so my question is was this accurate?

One thing I noted was the statement the Hitler now has 2 aircraft carriers. That is simply not true ... but what else?
